This oyster shell, found on Martha’s Vineyard, is layered and ruffled at the edges. It’s swirled in espresso, smoke, and cream, like the inside of a weathered piece of driftwood. It hangs from a silver bail on a front toggle, so the clasp becomes part of the design and doesn’t have to be hidden.
The strand pairs faceted black beads with small freshwater pearls and silver spacers. The black and white feel crisp, and the oyster keeps it from looking too formal.
