The Edgartown Necklace

Big, pale, and very nearly whole. The shell runs a soft blue-gray across broad ribs, with rust and umber speckling scattered through the middle and a warm apricot flush up at the hinge. The surface has a chalky matte finish, the kind a shell gets from sitting in the sun after the water's done with it.

The chain is a substantial round cable in warm gold, heavy enough to balance a shell this size and worn at a length that puts the pendant just below the collarbone. Clean and unfussy, so nothing competes with the shell.

The most straightforward piece in the collection, and probably the one you'd reach for most.
