A little bit of island history, worn close. The Whaler pairs a scallop shell found on Martha's Vineyard with an antique brass chain that looks like it could have been tucked in a sea captain's trunk. The shell is a stunner in slate blue and smoky gray, warmed by stripes of amber and caramel, with a rich rust-brown edge that gives it an almost tortoiseshell glow.
The ridges fan out from the top in a classic scallop shape, and the warm, slightly vintage tone of the oval link chain brings out every bit of amber in the shell. A lobster clasp and extender let you wear it right at the collarbone or a touch lower.
Every necklace is one of one, so what you see is what you get. Wear it with a cream knit, a chambray shirt, or a sun-soaked tan.
