The Western Necklace

Two shells' worth of color in one. The ribs run blue-gray and slate out to a dark rim, while a warm caramel patch spreads from the hinge like a stain of sun, and fine speckling runs over all of it. Hold it up and it looks like weather coming in over the water.

Caramel suede strands pass behind the shell and fall below it in a long, loose fringe that swings as you walk. The cords double at the neck and close with a gold extender chain, so you can wear it high or let it drop.

The easy one to throw on with a white tee and jeans and forget you're wearing it.
