The Shanty Necklace

Named for the weathered fishing shanties that line the harbors, the Shanty is a love letter to the island's working waterfront. Every shell in this piece is a mussel found on Martha's Vineyard, from the raw, iridescent pendant to the four polished discs that trail below it.

The pendant is a natural mussel shell fragment, left in its original shape so you can see every ridge and layer of silvery blue, violet, and pewter shimmer. Beneath it, a second longer chain drops into a lariat of mussel shell discs that flash sea glass green and soft gold as they catch the light. Two dainty gold chains join at a single clasp, so you get the layered look without the tangle.
