North Tisbury Pendant

Dark ribs over a pale ground, so the pattern reads almost like ticking: charcoal running down each rib, ivory in the grooves between, with a scatter of honey flecks and a cream band up at the hinge. Broad and nearly symmetrical, which is rarer than it sounds.

The cord is soft gold, warmer against the skin than metal and quieter too. The shell is fixed at two points rather than hanging from one, so it lies flat against the chest and stays put instead of swinging. A gold extender at the back adjusts the length.
